United Preparing A Stunning £30m Swoop For PSG Star Thomas Meunier
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly plotting a £30 million transfer deal for Paris Saint-Germain right-back, Thomas Meunier.
Meunier is discontented with his current stature at Parc des Princes, and is now looking to switch away from the Ligue 1 giants in the January transfer window.
The Belgian starlet, who was PSG’s go-to man for the defensive role, has been acting as a second fiddle to Dani Alves following the Brazilian’s move from Juventus.

And now, as per Sunday Express, Mourinho, who ‘has been keeping tabs on the 26 year-old since last summer’, could come to the Meunier’s rescue once the transfer window reopens in January.

The Special One wants to add more strength to his defensive back-line after what looks like a failed transfer in the form of Victor Lindelof. The former Benfica star has been below par so far this season, and thus, the Portuguese tactician could force a £30 million move for the Belgium international in January.
Meunier also seems to have made up his mind to leave the French club in a bid to keep his place in the Belgian national side for next year’s World Cup in Russia. And if his move to United were to materialize, the Special One could possibly offer enough chances to the 26-year-old to impress his national team boss Roberto Martinez.
PSG too, might be interested in selling the defender, after having spent heavily this summer in order to bring in the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe. Meunier’s contract runs until 2020, but an early cash-in in January next year seems to be a possibility considering the star’s current state at the club.
