Manchester United have been given the green light to sign Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer, as it has emerged that Real Madrid are ready to cash in on their star.

According to Spanish reports, an amount of £75 million is said to be the fee being quoted for the winger, who is nearing a decade at the Spanish club.

He has been Real’s talisman ever since his arrival from Old Trafford back in 2009, but Los Blancos are now looking towards the future.

Ronaldo is now 32 years of age, and based on his recent poor form, he has finally started to slow down.

As a result, his club is now looking to cash in on him while he is still worth a lot of money, and Real have apparently made him available in the market.

Former Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has been desperate to secure the signature of a wide player, and in Ronaldo, he has the perfect option to fill that role, despite his advancing years.

The reigning Champions League winners, on the other hand, are keen on building their team around Isco now, and no longer see the Portugal captain as their main man.

Isco is just 25 years old, and the Spaniard’s form has been magnificent lately, meaning he can successfully prove to be a good player for the team to revolve around in the long run.

United fans have been desperate to see Ronaldo back at the Theatre of Dreams ever since he left them, but they have been let down every summer by reports that have hinted at his supposed ‘imminent’ arrival, only for nothing to ever materialize.

Considering Real Madrid’s recent approach to games and their new game plan, the possibility of United’s former hero returning to the place that made him a world renowned star could be a bigger possibility than ever before.
