Jose Mourinho’s statements around two months ago, wherein he declared his admiration for Paris Saint-Germain, raised quite a few eyebrows. With just a year left on his contract with Man Utd, talk already started filling up the back pages of newspapers about his next destination.

However, there now appears to be a new twist to the tale, as it appears PSG won’t just be getting a great manager, but they will also be saving themselves from losing their best player.

Neymar, who shattered the record for the most expensive player in the world with his £198 million move to Paris last summer, is already being linked with a move away from the club, with Real Madrid said to be very interested in signing the former Barcelona winger as a potential replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, the one thing that may prevent the Brazilian superstar from leaving is if the Ligue 1 club manages to sign Mourinho. Neymar is reportedly very keen on working with the Portuguese boss, and will be tempted to stay if the Special One replaces current boss Unai Emery at the helm.

According to Don Balon, Neymar and Emery are not on the best of terms. The Spanish news outlet also goes on to claim that the 25-year-old has nothing but good words to say about the current United boss, and if he does join the club, the star forward will consider turning down a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
