Manchester United started the season with flying colours, but since talisman Paul Pogba’s injury and Romelu Lukaku’s dip in form, they seem to have lost their way, creating an eight-point gap with Premier League table toppers and arch-rivals Man City.

The injury to his French talisman has left Jose Mourinho with limited options in midfield, which has led to a terrible drop in the chances being created every game.

Therefore, the 54-year-old tactician now regrets not making major signings in the summer, and is ready to make amends for his actions in January.

The season is far from over, and the Special One is desperate to get his team into winning ways. To make his squad resilient when the transfer window gets into business, the Portuguese is reportedly interested in securing the services of Valencia wide-man Carlos Soler.

The 20-year-old has impressed with his skills and level of maturity shown on the field since making his debut for the Oranges last winter. Valencia have since slammed a £40m price-tag on their academy product.

However, according to the Independent, the Red Devils are willing to offer Andreas Pereira, who is on loan at the club, along with cash to reduce that amount.

Meanwhile, Valencia still continue to face financial problems, with an accumulated loss in the region of £65m over the last three years. Therefore, it would be difficult for them to turn down a good offer.

Soler will offer Mourinho a versatile attacking option, as the Spaniard loves to operate on both wings and also in the midfield. He has been very impressive, having scored 1 goal and provided 4 assists in 12 appearances in all competitions so far this season.
