Lionel Messi is purportedly vexed with Manchester United for treating his indispensable friend Angel Di Maria dismally during his spell at Old Trafford.

According to Don Balon, Messi, being an on- and off-the-pitch friend of Di Maria, is irritated with the Old Trafford outfit for their objectionable behaviour towards his fellow compatriot.
Additionally, the PSG winger’s translator further rubbed salt to the wounds by proclaiming that the Premier League side wanted to sign his client for the sole purpose of commercial activities.
“He was unhappy at the club,” Debora Gomes told Esporte Interativo.

“Firstly, he couldn’t communicate with anyone. And second, because he realised the club bought him not because the club thought ‘oh, he will bring titles to us because he is a good player’.
“They simply wanted to sell his shirts. This I heard inside the club, the people talking. ‘Di Maria sells T-shirts, so let’s buy him’. So he was not happy.”
