Danny Rose is still fuming over being left out of the squad for the North London derby, in which his side suffered a defeat against arch-rivals Arsenal. Accordingly, it aggravated the full-back’s urge to leave Spurs, with two English giants prepared to exploit the situation.

The 27-year-old has been under Chelsea’s radar for a while now. One can thus, hardly be surprised if the Blues were to make a move for the talented defender when the transfer window reopens.

However, latest report from Express claims that Rose doesn’t intend to join the Stamford Bridge outfit, but has rather informed his friends about his desire to join Manchester United.

The Red Devils also have been monitoring the player’s situation, and it could come about in the upcoming window.

Regardless, Tottenham reportedly would not consider any deals for the Englishman, especially mid-season, in view of the fact that the Londoners are still relying on his contributions.

After Tuesday’s Champions League fixture between Spurs and Borussia Dortmund, in which the defender played for the whole 90 minutes, Tottenham boss Pochettino proclaimed: “Will I make him train again? Yes, maybe. We need to assess him.

“With Danny, after his injury, it is important every time he is going to play he feels fresh to give his best. I am happy that he was angry because it means he wanted to play. But in the same way, I don’t care, because it is my decision – I’m the boss.

“That is the problem for the players. He never showed that feeling to me. That’s why it surprised me, because the day before we had a conversation and he never showed he was angry.”

Pochettino was reluctant to provide any promises that Rose would be around next term, and said: “You cannot guess what’s going to happen in the future, and with myself it’s the same.”
