Twitter Reacts To Ashley Young’s Incredible Performance Against Watford
If only Ashley Young was as good at 28 as he is at 32. For all the struggles he has endured over the course of his seven-year spell at Old Trafford, the Englishman has fought back like a warrior and turned it all around.
After being used as a reliable backup last season, Jose Mourinho decided to give him a run in the first team, and boy has he been delivering recently. His form has been ridiculous, and he has effectively made the left-back position his own.
A return to Watford saw Young head back to where it all began, having learnt the skills of his trade at the Vicarage Road outfit before moving on to bigger and better things.

Having been denied a first goal in two years last week, when his shot took a heavy deflection off Lewis Dunk but was jotted down as an own-goal for the defender, there was no stopping the former winger this time round.
It could be assumed that there was a little dirt on Young’s boot when he launched his shot against Brighton, and it was thrown straight into the washing machine afterwards, because he could not have hit two cleaner strikes against Watford if he tried.

His first came after Lingard’s pass slightly popped up in front of him, and he absolutely belted it on the half-volley. The second was a sumptuous free-kick, probably the best United have scored in a long, long time.
Twitter was all over Young after his gorgeous double, and here’s some of the best of what the fans had to say:
