Manchester United continued their run in the Premier League to notch a third successive win, as they beat Watford 4-2 at Vicarage Road.

The Reds were 3-0 ahead at the break at half-time, after two superb goals from Ashley Young and an Anthony Martial strike. But in the 2nd half, Watford changed their tactics and pegged back their opponents with two goals, as the scoreline read 3-2.

There were enough nervy moments for the visitors, and Jose Mourinho decided to bring on veteran forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic to help the side protect the lead in the final moments.

But as the versatile striker waited on the touchline to replace Jesse Lingard, the England international produced a moment of beauty with a sublime solo effort to make it 4-2 and help United keep pace with rivals Manchester City.

The Swede was then seen hugging his Portuguese boss following the goal, as they celebrated the moment.

Post the match, the former Chelsea boss went on to reveal what he said to the ex-Sweden international when the latter waited to replace Lingard.

“I told Zlatan maybe if Gomes goes to the last corner of the match and you maybe mark Gomes at set pieces, who knows how the game could end. Zlatan holds the ball well, he can be an extra man to help us in set pieces,” said the tactician.

Luckily, Ibrahimovic did not have to do much, as Lingard’s goal sealed the tie and handed Jose’s side three crucial points.
