The greatest sporting event on the planet is almost here, and fans can hardly contain their excitement. And with no more international breaks, the latest news on the national team has come through the draws for the group stage fixtures.

Here’s the draw in full:

Group A:

Egypt, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Uruguay

Whilst the Egyptians going up against Russia certainly looks exciting, a clash with Saudi Arabia seems to be something new.

Group B:

Portugal, Spain, Iran, Morocco

The Euro champions against the 2010 winners, group B certainly looks interesting.

Group C:

France, Australia, Peru, Denmark

With the sheer talent the French national team possesses, their clash against an intimidating Denmark side will certainly be worth watching.

Group D:

Argentina, Croatia, Iceland, Nigeria

Iceland have returned to stun the world yet again, and this time, they are challenged with a talented Croatian side, a promising Nigerian team, and the former World champions Argentina.

Group E:

Brazil, Switzerland, Costa Rica, Serbia

Seems like a rather quiet group, but Brazil vs Switzerland could turn out to be exciting.

Group F:

Germany, Mexico, Sweden, South Korea

The defending champions go up against very promising Swedish and Mexican sides. Looks to be one of the best balanced groups among the rest.

Group G:

Belgium, England, Panama, Tunisia

The fresh young squad of Belgium against an unpredictable English side, ought to be interesting.

Group H:

Poland, Senegal, Japan, Colombia

The quietest group among all, but could be the most exciting due to the well balanced power scale.

 

All 32 teams are set to battle it out in the harsh climate of Russia next season, something the South American sides would probably find unadaptable.

Nevertheless, the historic event is set to start on the 14th of June till the 15th of July; a month long treat of competitive football.
