Champions League teams are on their feet, as Angel Gomes’ contract is set to expire at Old Trafford next summer, and he could leave for free if he doesn’t sign a new deal by then.

The 17-year-old has been a star at the youth level ever since he wore the Red Devils’ shirt. He also helped England win the FIFA U17 World Cup for the first time this year. Since then, he has been a target for a few heavyweights.

As per reports from Calcio Mercato, among all teams, Serie A giants Juventus are desperate to secure the services of the London-born attacking midfielder.

However, the Italian club has made it clear that they will only make a move if the youngster shows signs of leaving Old Trafford, as they prefer not to repeat another ‘Paul Pogba’ situation and ruin their relationship with the Premier League outfit once again.

As of now, no contact has been made by Juventus. On the other side, Jose Mourinho is trying his best to make Gomes sign a new contract.

The midfielder has made one appearance for the senior team so far, and the Portuguese tactician is willing to give the starlet more game-time in the near future.
