Jose Mourinho is purportedly a huge admirer of Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, owing to which he wishes to secure the player’s services in the upcoming transfer window.

According to the latest reports, Manchester United, due to their keen interest in the Lazio man, sent scouts to Bergamo to monitor the Serbian in action against Atalanta.

Accordingly, the United representatives are believed to be satisfied, as the 22-year-old managed to find the back of the net twice from outside the box.

Italian outlets claim that the talented midfielder is being valued around €120 million by the Serie A club.

However, recently, the player conceded that he’s very content at Stadio Olimpico and is not looking forward for a move away from Lazio. Furthermore, gaffer Angelo Peruzzi insisted that Milinkovic-Savic is fully committed to his current side.

Speaking after playing his part in Lazio’s 2-2 draw with Atalanta, the central midfielder told Mediaset Premium: “I play for Lazio and I don’t care who came to watch me. I play for Lazio and I am happy here.”

Regardless, the former Genk man has his current contract extending up to June of 2022. Ergo, it remains clear that it’d be a rough ride for the United tactician to pursue the Vojvodina graduate.

However, provided the financial resources of the Old Trafford outfit, a certainty can’t be asserted regarding the future of the Serbian international.
