After their 2-2 draw to Burnley, Jose Mourinho was adamant that United need to outspend City in order to achieve the kind of success they have this season.

As of such, it seems likely that the Old Trafford outfit will revisit some of its long-term targets in the windows to come.

Now, it appears that perhaps the most speculated player in their list is closer than ever in completing a move to the Theatre of Dreams after the following development.

Due to the Welshman’s injury-prone stint with Los Blancos, it certainly seems that Zidane has lost patience with the former Tottenham man, and will be more than eager to offload him.

Further, the quoted sum seems like a favorable figure for Mourinho and company to match, considering higher amounts were negotiated prior.

At 28, the winger might seem like a doubtful player to splash that amount on, particularly since some youngsters can come in for a much cheaper price.

However, his creativity and experience in the position undoubtedly trump his injury woes, and as of such, he could be the ideal person in a United jersey functioning under Mourinho’s style.

If that does happen, who among the current wide options being deployed by the Portuguese tactician will have to make way?
