What Liverpool Will Do With Coutinho Shirts Their Fans Purchased This Season
After months of speculation, Barcelona have finally completed the mammoth transfer of Philippe Coutinho, much to the dismay of Liverpool faithful.
Having already lost the likes of Javier Mascherano and Luis Suarez to the Catalan giants in the past, the Reds have now had to let go of their Brazilian magician as well, and that too midway through the campaign.
However, despite the heart-breaking loss of their prized playmaker, the club has made a brilliant gesture for the fans, in order to try and slightly minimize their disappointment over their main-man’s departure.
The Anfield-based outfit will be offering a £50 voucher to each and every fan who purchased Liverpool’s 2017/18 home, away, or third shirt with ‘Coutinho 10’ on the back, from club stores across UK and Ireland as well as the official LFC website.
The Merseyside giants released a statement on their official website, which read: “Liverpool Football Club is to offer supporters who bought a 2017-18 replica shirt printed with Philippe Coutinho’s name and number a £50 voucher, once the move is completed.”
People who purchased the shirt from an official store will receive a coupon in exchange for the shirt and its receipt, whereas the fans who bought the shirt online will receive a voucher via email on January 13, which can then be redeemed on the website.
With the current world of football largely dominated by money, this caring and thoughtful gesture made by Liverpool for their loyal supporters definitely comes as a breath of fresh air.
