Manchester United Open Talks To Sign Chelsea Star
It is no secret that Jose Mourinho is desperately looking for world-class defensive options to bolster his backline.
But his attempts so far have not been successful, and his summer investment of Victor Lindelof is yet to see any realistic return.
However, it would seem that Mourinho is looking to take advantage of a certain spar and ensure that a highly rated defender is purchased by Manchester United before January comes to a close.

As per reports via Express , United and Chelsea have commenced initial talks over the potential sale of David Luiz. While no fee has been agreed by either party, negotiations are believed to be in progress as a result of the inquiry from Old Trafford.

Further, it is believed that the relationship between Luiz and manager Antonio Conte is very tense after a recent spar, and that might be a big factor in the Brazilian seeking an exit.
This would certainly give meaning to the fact that the 30-year-old was deployed by the Blues in their goalless draw against Norwich City to add some weight in the form of a potential transfer show of talents.
With a sale to PSG and a huge purchase back, yet another transfer would add significantly to the defender’s overall career fee. But his talents are of no doubt, and many would be adamant that he would be ideal in a United jersey.
With Nemanja Matic being pried away in the summer window, the two giants certainly seem to be sharing a business rapport of sorts.
But with the relationship between Conte and Mourinho also taking a tense look, one might not expect the transfer to be a smooth one, if at all.
