Real Madrid are going to have to break the bank if they are to sign Harry Kane, as it has emerged that Tottenham Hotspur are set to slap a humongous £300 million price tag on their golden boy.

The Spanish giants have been keen to find a replacement for the misfiring Karim Benzema upfront, which is why they have reportedly made Kane their top priority.

The Englishman is currently one of the hottest strikers in world football, so Los Blancos’ interest in his services comes as no surprise considering their struggles in the goalscoring department.

However, Spurs are keen to hold on to their talisman, who they refer to as one of their own. And the Sunday Mirror has claimed that they are all set to demand a fee of £300 million from the Spanish giants for their homegrown star.

With Daniel Levy being the notoriously hard negotiator that he is, Florentino Perez might find it impossible to convince the North London club to bring down the asking price.

Earlier last year, Spurs reportedly laughed off the suggestion that Kane would be worth £100m, claiming that he would cost any potential suitors at least double of that. They have now tripled the price though, which may cross his name off any interested club’s wishlist.

Despite these off the field transfer rumours, Kane has remained focused on it, and has continued to be in sensational form. The striker has won two consecutive Premier League golden boots, and is in the running to grab a third come the end of the season.

The Englishman already has 18 goals in 21 league appearances this season, while 6 goals in 5 Champions League games takes his tally to a magnificent 24 in 26. He ended 2017 as the highest goalscorer in all of Europe’s elite leagues, with 55 goals in the calendar year.
