Manchester City Take A HUGE Decision Regarding Sanchez Move

The saga of Alexis Sanchez has seen much drama over the week, with Manchester United allegedly hopping into the race to sign the Arsenal playmaker.

This comes as a major upset to Manchester City, who have been keen on signing the Chilean since this summer, and were thought to have secured his signature going into the winter window.

However, there is now a massive update on City’s stance on the situation, and it will be one that will send United fans into a frenzy of excitement.

As per several reports, Manchester City are willing to drop the winter pursuit of Sanchez if the quoted price by Arsenal doesn’t come down. It is believed that the SkyBlues think the total amount that the transfer will set them back by is not worth it.

This is absurd, considering that they had allegedly offered £60m for the 29-year-old in the summer. But now, the same source suggests that at the most, City will splash £20m for his services, which is lower than the £35m the Gunners are thought to be holding out for.

However, what is of more interest is that the Premier League leaders are aware that their backing down will potentially pave the way for Jose Mourinho and company to make the signing instead, and it appears that they are fine with it.

The question now remains whether or not Arsenal will make the sale within the month, or will opt to remain stubborn negotiators. If that happens to be the case, Sanchez will end up staying put at the Emirates till the end of the season.

With it being apparent that the former Barcelona star wants to play under Pep Guardiola, City will emerge triumphantly, and could still secure his services in June. But can Mourinho do something that turns the tables in United’s favour?
