Twitter Reacts As City’s Unbeaten Streak Is Destroyed By Liverpool

Giants don’t always fall, but when they do, a mighty thump echoes.

Manchester City’s dream of being unbeaten in the Premier League so far this season came to a resounding end at the hands of Liverpool, as the electric Anfield encounter stood 4-3 at full-time.

Goals from Oxlade Chamberlain, Roberto Firmino, Mane, and Salah saw the Merseyside team through.

But City were adamant till the end, and with late goals from Bernardo Silva and Gundogan, with the latter coming in the 91st minute, it seemed that a repeat of their memorable debut Premier League victory might be at hand.

But on Sunday night, that was not to be, and a first loss was notched by Guardiola’s men. And as one would have expected, Twitter exploded with remarks over the loss. Some funny, some sarcastic, and some still congratulatory in nature, the Internet didn’t disappoint.

This doesn’t change the fact that a remarkable run was achieved by the Sky Blues, and that they still sit quite confident atop the table with no sight of coming down anytime soon.

But will City taste defeat again this season? Time will tell, and perhaps the cold truly has set in for the South Americans.
