In terms of contribution, Cristiano Ronaldo has been widely considered a goal threat, assisting Real Madrid in acquiring trophies ever since he marked his debut at Santiago Bernabeu.

Following his £80-million move, the 32-year-old fancied a breakneck rise in his footballing career under a variety of managers in Spain.

However, despite his consistent existence on the score sheet of Los Blancos, the superstar has been evidently out of that same lethal form this season.

Furthermore, according to latest sources, the talisman is growing desperate for a transfer away, on grounds of an unsatisfying contract at the Spanish capital.

And purportedly his target happens to be return to England, where he spent six prosperous seasons under Sir Alex Ferguson in his youth days.

The Bernabeu outfit has had a prolific previous season, in which the former Red Devil played his part well. Regardless, his wages have still been eclipsed by his arch-rivals Lionel Messi and Neymar.

However, the Portuguese believes he is worth more than what he’s currently earning, and is saddened that Madrid haven’t updated his contract yet.

As of now, the Galacticos have consented to let go of their talisman, in the hopes of bagging a lot of money for securing other talented players, who are capable of dragging Madrid out of the dilemma they are confronting these days.

According to a report in the Daily Star, Ronaldo needs Florentino Perez to alter his transfer figure to be one-tenth of his €1bn (£882m) release clause. The pair hasn’t been sharing much of a chemistry these days, as they haven’t reportedly been chatting considerably.

Jose Mourinho could attempt a deal over the summer, as the forward’s introduction would prove to be lethal for the Premier League giants. However, the gaffer may have to cough up a record-breaking fee if he wishes to rope in the instrumental figure.

Moreover, Paris Saint-Germain have also registered their interest in Ronaldo, with Madrid conceding their inclination in selling the hot target.
