Jose Mourinho will be happy to have landed Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal. The Chilean would be the perfect fit for the Portuguese’s earnest desire to have a world-class forward to lead United into some of their bigger fixtures.

But having secured that transfer, the former Chelsea and Real Madrid gaffer is wasting no time celebrating, as he is already working on getting his next target to Old Trafford.

As per The Sun, Jean Michael Seri is the player that United are making their next big winter push towards signing. The 26-year-old Ivory Coast international plays as a central midfielder for OGC Nice.

His performances have caught the eye of several giants, and apart from United, Chelsea and Liverpool are also thought to have the talent on their radar.

However, with City preferring to look elsewhere, and a summer move to Barcelona having fallen apart, the Red Devils are the current favorites to land the midfielder.

The source added that a summer move may also be on the cards, in the event the Mancunian club is unable to secure a deal before the winter transfer window closes at the end of this month.

What makes the former Porto midfielder a particularly viable target is his release clause, which is considered to be way below the price at which he would be otherwise valued in the current market.

Further, having fixed the attacking front, and being satisfied with Luke Shaw on the defensive left flank duty, it appears that central midfield is Mourinho’s next big concern, and rightly so.

With the impending retirement of Michael Carrick, as well as Marouane Fellaini not yet having signed an extension to his contract, it makes most sense for Jose to look at other midfield options.

This is not to say that the central duo of Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic aren’t doing well, but the roster is a mere injury away from being sent into turmoil, and a Seri transfer could aid that scenario quite a bit.
