Fabinho has confessed that his career at Monaco is bordering its conclusion, and that he is looking for greener pastures for showcasing his true potential. The talented figure has conceded that he craves for “new challenges” at a relatively bigger club.

Having witnessed the process of influential clubs seizing away his ex-teammates Kylian Mbappe, Benjamin Mendy, and Tiemoue Bakayoko from the Ligue 1 club last summer, Fabinho perceives it troublesome to suppress his earnest desire to depart from his current side in a similar big-money move.

In the hopes of progressing his professional football career further along the tracks, the 24-year-old emphasized that he’s keen on fancying his toughness against fresh challenges if he were to receive a notable offer, after the valuable four years he spent at Stade Louis II.

When inquired about any potential transfers, the celebrated midfielder told Lancenet: “If a move to a new league or a club with a bigger structure and bigger expectations, I would be interested. My time with Monaco was good, but I feel my time here is coming to an end.

“I know that the club’s vision is to try to finish second and qualify for the Champions League, without counting on big-name players, but on young players.”

“I believe I have gone through this process. I arrived as an unknown, I made my name at the club, won things – but maybe I need a new challenge.”
