Twitter Reacts To Paul Pogba’s Substitution And Subsequent Look
Manchester United tasted defeat against Newcastle on Sunday, as the encounter at St James’ Park ended 1-0 to the home side.
Amidst a performance that was equal measures unlucky and lackluster, the Red Devils had major flaws of their own. The most blatant one of these was the underwhelming performance of Paul Pogba.
The Frenchman, who is usually instrumental in the manner in which United function, has been in questionable form ever since the defeat against Tottenham.
But against Newcastle, the 24-year-old was simply awful, and had to be substituted immediately after the 65th-minute goal by Matt Ritchie.

After being sent to the bench, the cameras were quick to focus on the sordid expression of Pogba, who looked almost on the verge of tears.
This spectacle wasn’t missed by the supporters, who stormed to Twitter to comment upon it. With the nature of the look, tweets of both wit and concern were visible.
During the pre-match training, the former Juventus star was thought to be an injury concern, and might have been nursing a flaw during his minutes on the pitch.
However, Mourinho’s substitution seemed far from the sympathetic move of urgency for an injury, and certainly appeared to be more on the grounds of getting rid of a liability during the game.
Despite his recent antics, the France international is one of United’s key cogs, and supporters will be eager to see him back in the usual creative flair that ensures that the Red Devils are a joy to watch.
