Man City Close To Completing £50m Deal For Serie A Star
Manchester City are looking to bolster their midfield and forward line this summer, and they are now monitoring Napoli’s £50 million-rated Jorginho’s situation.
According to Goal, the Italian has surfaced as the primary target for a deep-lying midfield role, with the Napoli man interested in operating mutually with Pep Guardiola.
However, this seemingly close deal could get delayed owing to the engagement of Napoli in the Seria A title race.
The targets for the forward position are not apparently certain as of now, although it’s reported that a move for Kylian Mbappe isn’t ruled out yet, despite the Cityzens having already failed to sign him the previous summer.

Coming close to the PSG man in terms of wages, Eden Hazard is also said to be on the English giants’ wishlist, having shown interest in the talented forward in the past. Although not considered a top priority, Mahrez is also on Guardiola’s radar.

Even with the plans for swooping a forward still pretty much uncertain, City reportedly remain optimistic that they will seal the negotiations before the World Cup.
Further, Jorginho has rejected multiple European offers, purportedly looking to settle a move to the Etihad. With the Serie A side demanding a fee of £50m, the Mancunian giants are confident of swooping the midfielder over the coming summer.
