Full-backs are highly wanted talents in the Premier League, and a host of top English clubs are currently in the market for the same.

This is despite several youngsters vying for the same spot, but it seems likely that the recent big money moves of defenders Kyle Walker and Benjamin Mendy have inspired clubs to perhaps make a big splurge of their own.

Consequently, clubs like Napoli have emerged as a hotspot for potential transfers to go through, and their most recent newsmaker might be quite a catch for the Premier League.

As per multiple reports, including Sportitalia, Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, and possibly even Arsenal are heavily interested in signing Elseid Hysaj. The 24-year-old Albanian has emerged as a hot property, and the same source adds that he has a release clause of €50 million.

That might not be that big of a splurge should he prove up to his potential. One club that won’t be dissuaded by the quoted amount is Chelsea, and reports suggest that it is the London side that is at present leading the race to secure his services.

Naturally a right-back, he is also deployed on the left flank by the Italian side, largely to compensate for the talents of the injured Faouzi Ghoulam.

This sort of versatility could be invaluable in a Premier League side, which may precisely be the reason why many would tip the bidding scales when the summer window reopens.

While interest from Liverpool may wane, as they are said to be considering youngster Trent Alexander-Arnold for a bigger role, it may be Man Utd that give Chelsea a run for their money.

Jose Mourinho too, has made it clear that a full-back is a pressing issue at Old Trafford, and the ages of Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia don’t make life easier.

It seems likely that he will come to the Premier League at the close of the summer, but what jersey will he be sporting?
