Former Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez showed why he is a sheer gentleman in Sunday’s blockbuster match between Manchester United and the Gunners.

The Red Devils went on to win the tie 2-1 after Marouane Fellaini’s injury-time winner at Old Trafford, which has somewhat secured United’s second placed finish in the Premier League.

Sanchez had a good game for the Mancunian club, but what happened prior to the tie has also caught the attention of several fans of both the clubs.

The Chilean showed his class by greeting the Arsenal players in the moments leading up to kick-off at the Theatre of Dreams.

The 29-year-old completed a controversial move to Manchester in the 2018 January transfer window. Jose Mourinho’s side bagged his services in a swap deal which included Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Reports had surfaced that the player was toxic before leaving the London club and fell out with most players.

But that was put off the table as he showed that he is a professional and did well to greet his former teammates. Sanchez was seen being all smiles with the likes of Hector Bellerin and Danny Welbeck.

He also greeted and welcomed manager Arsene Wenger with a hug, and there was a lot of positive energy all around. That also caught the attention of fans who expressed their views on social media.

Sanchez spent three and a half years at Arsenal, scoring 80 goals in 165 matches. He won two FA Cups and a Community Shield during his time at the Emirates.
