Manchester United have reportedly grabbed a hold of Slovakian wonderkid Martin Svidersky, even with their arch-rivals Chelsea and Liverpool equally interested in the player.

According to The Sun, the Red Devils won the race for his signature, beating their fellow contenders in the process.

The 15-year-old starlet was accordingly handed a contract, which holds him to Old Trafford for at least three years from now.

The midfielder apparently has been playing youth football for Presov in his homeland.

And now, United’s academy chief Nicky Butt has managed to swoop the talented player, and the teenager is heading to England to join up with the Red Devils’ under-16s now.

Furthermore, another Slovakian talent, Alex Fojticek, who is intrinsically a goalkeeper, is also reportedly under the Mancunians’ radar. The 18-year-old is highly likely to meet with Svidersky if United pull off that transfer.

Meanwhile, the under-16 squad will be in action overseas this week, as they take part in the Singapore Sevens Tournament in Padang.

The youth squad is set to square off their horns with Valencia, Fulham, Japanese side Urawa Reds, and Liverpool on Saturday, before meeting Singapore’s JSSL FC, Perth Glory, and Bangkok United the next day.
