Why Sergej Milinkovic-Savic Is Keen To Join Manchester United

Manchester United are looking to get a star midfielder into their side in the summer, and they feel that the main player that they have targeted could be on his way to Old Trafford.
With Marouane Fellaini’s future under the clouds and Michael Carrick retiring, United are in the market for a stand-out midfielder, and they have long identified Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as the star player to come in to the setup.
And it is believed that the club is leading the race to sign the Serbian. According to a report in Metro, the 23-year-old is interested to join the Mancunian club in order to play alongside his national teammate, Nemanja Matic.

The former Chelsea player joined Manchester United last season, and has enjoyed a stellar season at Old Trafford after being one of Jose Mourinho’s most trusted allies.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito is determined not to sell the player at any cost after having believed to have rejected a £61.7m offer last summer. Besides United, the likes of Manchester City, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be keeping an eye on the player.
But the English giants are confident that that the player will be a Red Devil in his desire to partner Matic in midfield.

United have Paul Pogba and Ander Herrera in their kitty, but having Savic in the mix will do them a world of good. The player believes that playing alongside Matic will improve his game further, and United want to materialise on the prospect of the same.
The player is gifted in both defensive and offensive qualities, and could provide a telling support to Matic in crunch matches. Jose is said to be eager to get his signature and make a statement in order to challenge City for the league title next season.
