£250m Overhaul: Jose Mourinho Wants FIVE New Signings
Jose Mourinho’s second season at Old Trafford ended in despair at Wembley, as his Manchester United side was beaten by Chelsea to the FA Cup title.
This will only mount pressure on Mourinho, who is already under scrutiny for the lack of progress at the club since he took over two years ago.
So it does not come as a surprise that Mourinho wants to be busy in the transfer market this summer, and reports now claim that he has already drawn his wish-list, which includes some exciting stars.
United need to strengthen all three of their outfield departments, and Mirror now claims that Mourinho has informed executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward of his summer plans.

Though he spent on two CBs in the last two transfer windows, Mourinho is still desperate to improve his backline, and sees Tottenham Hotspur contract rebel Toby Alderweireld as the perfect fit for his side.

The Belgian is expected to be a tad expensive, but United are set to let the likes of Luke Shaw, Matteo Darmian and Daley Blind leave the club this summer, which should cover most of Alderweireld’s cost.
While he will improve the backline, Mourinho also needs midfielders, with Marouane Fellaini set to quit the club. They have also lost Michael Carrick, who will be a part of the backroom staff next season, pushing Mourinho into the market for more than one midfielder.

It is understood that Napoli’s Jorginho, Nice’s John Michael Seri, and Shakhtar Donetsk star Fred are all on his wish-list.
Apart from these names, United are also reportedly close to landing Juventus star Alex Sandro to improve their full-back options, while Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale is also on their radar.
They could also sell Anthony Martial to improve their net spending, but if they go through with these transfers, United will have undergone a £250m squad overhaul for the second time in three windows under Mourinho.
Do you think it will be enough for United to get back to their best?
