Mario Mandzukic is reportedly interested in making a switch to the Premier League.

The Juventus forward has been linked with a potential departure from Turin for quite some time, with his future at the Old Lady still far from 100% secure.

Moreover, earlier this week, Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio revealed that Jose Mourinho is considering signing the 32-year-old as a backup striker for Romelu Lukaku, thereby giving rise to some strong transfer links with Manchester United.

And now, latest reports have indicated that the Croatian international himself is eager to secure a move to the Premier League, thereby handing the Red Devils a huge transfer boost.

The former Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid star has already played in three of the top four European leagues in his decorated career so far, and he intends to cap it off by spending his final years in England.

However, according to Calciomercato, Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri does not wish to part ways with the experienced forward just yet, as he considers Mandzukic a crucial part of his squad.

In fact, the Italian tactician is even prepared to assure the player of regular game-time by making him a crucial part of the Juventus starting lineup, so as to convince him to stay put at the Serie A club.

Furthermore, Juve chief Giuseppe Marotta also recently indicated that Mandzukic is quite content with the newly crowned Italian champions, and hasn’t expressed any sort of desire to leave.

“The principle for Juventus is always that if a player asks to leave then, of course, we’ll try to satisfy him at the point when motivation has dropped or there are other considerations,” Marotta was quoted as saying.

“At the moment, no one is in that position, so I have to say that Mario Mandzukic will be a Juventus player next year too.”
