Manchester United have been linked with a move for Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic since quite some time, and the midfielder has recently stated that he will decide on his future only after the upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Sergej is still believed to be one of the club’s prime targets, as Jose Mourinho looks at him as the person to replace Marouane Fellaini, whose time at the club is set to come to an end.

The Belgian has once again rejected United’s latest contract offer, and will look for new pastures post the World Cup. But apart from Fellaini, the Mancunian club still has five first-team midfielders in their ranks at the moment.

If Jose does decide to get in a replacement for the ex-Everton man, then Savic could be an option. But at the moment, the Serbian is only concentrating on the World Cup, and shall decide whether or not to make a move after the tournament ends.

Speaking at a press conference, Savic stated: “I am trying to remain concentrated, even though every day I read something new about me.

“Obviously, I feel pressure on me and know that I’ll have to live with this situation throughout the World Cup. It’s the same pressure as when I play for Lazio, so I am accustomed to it. I will decide where to continue my career after the World Cup.”

Earlier, reports have stated that Italian champions Juventus are also said to be interested in the player, and are in a leading position in trumping the Old Trafford club for his signature.

Meanwhile, it remains to be seen whether the player will be determined to stay in Italy or make a move to England.
