Twitter Reacts To Paul Pogba’s Brilliance Against Australia
France squared up against Australia during their opener in the World Cup, wherein a first-half penalty from Antoine Griezmann sent the Europeans leading before another penalty goal from Mile Jedinak left the game square for the Socceroos.
Things looked to end that way till the end, but right then, Paul Pogba and substitute Olivier Giroud linked up brilliantly, culminating in the Manchester United star finding the back of the net through a looped goal that bounced into the net and out in the 80th minute.
Goal-line technology rendered the goal valid, and the final scoreline stood a decisive 2-1.
Big questions were asked of Pogba ahead of the World Cup, particularly in view of his mixed performance during the final half of the previous season at Old Trafford, wherein rumours were strong that a departure could be on the cards for the 25-year-old.

But Saturday’s winner will have marked another brilliant response by him, and Twitter reacted aptly, as his performance was lauded, racism tackled, and irrelevant commentary bashed.

Don’t think it was a penalty but Paul Pogba’s pass created that. Nothing said.
I will never stop spreading propaganda for this man.

Paul Pogba is the greatest bit of marketing since Kellogg's convinced us breakfast is the most important meal of the day #fraaus

Critics will be fuming if France go on to win this. Paul Pogba scores the winner, doesn’t dab, hasn’t got a flashy haircut, quite game but has hardly put a foot wrong. Let’s see what they come up with though..

BBC commentators talking about Paul Pogba's hair. "Needs to concentrate on the football", says a man who is talking about someone's hair while commentating on a World Cup game.

The World Cup is still fresh, and supporters from across the globe will be eagerly waiting for Pogba to deliver more of the same for the games in hand.
However, despite being amongst the favorites to win it all, France need to step-up their game as, apart from individual flashes of brilliance, their team lacked the all-around creative intent that both Spain and Portugal sporadically displayed yesterday.
