Man United’s £57m Bid For Serie A Star Rejected
Manchester United have had a huge bid for Slovakian centre-back Milan Škriniar turned down.
Jose Mourinho is looking to improve his squad in all department, as he eyes to mount a Premier League title challenge next season.
The Portuguese manager was quick of the blocks in the transfer window, completing moves for Diogo Dalot and Fred, and he has now turned his attention towards bringing in a centre-back.
Manchester United have been heavily linked with Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld. But the Red Devils are finding it difficult to meet his £75 million valuation.

Jerome Boateng and Raphael Varane are some of the big names on the shortlist, but United seem to have chosen to pursue another candidate, as Daily Star believes the Reds have submitted a £57 million bid for Inter’s Milan Škriniar.
The Slovakian International joined Inter last summer on a five-year contract. He made 40 appearances for the San Siro outfit, scoring 4 goals in all competitions.

But United may have already suffered a blow, as the bid was supposedly rejected immediately by Inter, who don’t wish to sell the player anytime soon. Also, Mourinho is unlikely to return with an improved bid for the player.
Meanwhile, United continue talks for Toby Alderweireld. Tottenham want to sell the Belgian centre-back this summer, as his value will go down to £25 million next summer.
Mourinho is said to be willing to throw in Spurs target Anthony Martial to successfully land the defender by the start of next season.
