Manchester United have responded to Anthony Martial’s unhappiness at Old Trafford by slapping a whopping fee for potential suitors monitoring his situation.

According to a report in the Mirror, the Mancunian club have placed a £75 million price tag on their French forward. This comes after the player’s agent had recently stated that the former Monaco man has decided to leave the Old Trafford club.

United will now be seeking a big sum from potential suitors, including the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea. The Red Devils also want to keep clubs away by demanding a huge price, as they do not wish to sell the talented youngster.

Martial has rejected talks of a new contract at United, as he has made up his mind to find new pastures. The club hierarchy worked on offers last season to get the player committed, but there was no agreement from Martial’s end.

Recently, the player’s agent revealed that United did not make an offer serious enough to suggest that they really wanted the Frenchman to stay put.

Martial started the 2017-18 season well, but slowly lost the magic. The irregularities in playing after Alexis Sanchez’s arrival was another blow. Moreover, he also couldn’t capitalise on the chances he got at the closing stages of the season.
