Paul Pogba may be widely considered as one of the most gifted young midfielders in world football today, but rumours of his unhappiness at Manchester United have been rampant for quite a while now, and it isn’t surprising that some of Europe’s biggest clubs are taking notice.
It all began this past season, when Pogba was lambasted in public by his boss Jose Mourinho for a few disappointing performances that led to poor results for the Manchester club.
Since then, media reports of a spat between player and manager have been highly prevalent, and the speculation just doesn’t seem to go away. This is where Barcelona enter the fray.
The Spanish giants recently fell short in signing Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann, and are reportedly very interested in strengthening their midfield to suit the style of top players such as Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.

The Catalan club is highly motivated in acquiring the services of Paul Pogba in this regard, and Spanish outlet Don Balon is suggesting that a deal could be in the works.
Never one to go away quietly, Jose Mourinho may be in the mood for a trade that could see the 25-year-old head to the Blaugrana, but only if Barcelona are willing to part ways with their midfield maestro Ivan Rakitic.
Mourinho is said to have been very impressed by Rakitic, and considers him a player that would fit well at Old Trafford.
Rakitic has struggled to find regular game time at Barca this past season, and with Mourinho more or less guaranteeing the Croatian a starting place, we could possibly see a historic swap move actually take place.
