Manchester United are planning a major overhaul this window, as they look to challenge for the Premier League title. Jose Mourinho has been quick to complete his business this summer.

The club has already gone on to sign midfielder Fred and right-back Diogo Dalot. And now, United are keen to get a new left-back.

The Mancunian club was linked with a move for Juventus defender Alex Sandro, but it now looks like the move isn’t a possibility anymore.

Juventus’ asking price for Sandro has put the Old Trafford club off, and Mourinho is planning to switch his attention elsewhere.

According to a report from Mirror, United are switching sights to Valencia left-back Jose Luis Gaya, who comes as a relatively cheaper option. It has been reported that Juventus are asking for a staggering £50m for the Brazilian outcast, and that, in turn, has put United off.

Besides the Red Devils, French champions Paris Saint-Germain were said to be monitoring the player as well, and they are now in the driving seat to get him.

Gaya is valued as a worthy replacement, and Jose believes that he could be a vital addition. The 23-year-old is rated at closer to £30m after signing a new contract at Valencia.

United are determined to get a left-back, especially with Luke Shaw wanting a move out, and the club needs someone to challenge Ashley Young for the position.

Gaya made 38 appearances for Valencia in the 2017-18 season, and is a mainstay in the side.
