Manchester United Eye A Move For German Superstar
Jose Mourinho is reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos.
Manchester United are undergoing a midfield revamp this summer. The Red Devils opened their transfer account by sealing a deal for Brazil’s Fred. Mourinho is now looking for a central leader who can replace Michael Carrick, who retired at the end of last season.
A number of players have been linked with the Premier League giants. Throughout the summer, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is said to be a Manchester United target, but Lazio’s high valuation has put off numerous suitors for the player.
But now, according to AS, United wish to sign Toni Kroos. The Real Madrid midfielder has been a prominent name in talks between Jose and Ed Woodward over the past weeks.
The United gaffer believes that the German international will allow Paul Pogba to play a much better role in the midfield. However, Real Madrid aren’t keen on selling the player.

Los Blancos bought Kroos after his wonderful performances at the 2014 World Cup. He, alongside Modric and Casemiro, has played an integral part for the Spanish giants that completed their Champions League hat-trick last season.
Kroos, who came through the Bayern academy, decided to leave his homeland and move to Madrid in July 2014. He has been a regular for Los Blancos for the past four seasons, scoring 12 times in 190 appearances.

Manchester United are ready to splash the cash on the German. But Kroos has a €500 million release with fours years remaining on his current contract. Real will not listen to any offers that match the clause, as they wish to keep hold of the player for a long time.
Earlier this summer, Fellaini was said to be looking to leave the Reds for free after rejecting a new contract. But it seems that the Belgian has made a complete u-turn, and United appear set to announce a 2-year deal with him on July 1st.
