For a club that has only recently begun relying on the purchases in the transfer market, Manchester United boast of a decent assortment of youngsters who are talented.
Jose Mourinho, despite having improved tremendously on his erstwhile disapproval of giving youngsters a break into the senior team, must now go one higher.
His insistence that United need world-class talent in every spot in order to compete at the top, while a valid argument, disregards the bigger worry that is the line of unhappy faces on their bench.
Youngsters and starlets feature predominantly on this list, and one such player may be willing to fight his way to the top.

According to Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte, Andreas Pereira may have intentions to stay on at the club for the long-term. The 22-year-old Belgian was United’s sole goalscorer in an embarrassing 4-1 defeat to Liverpool during their ongoing pre-season tour.
The goal, however, arrived through a well-placed free-kick from the Brazilian, who has arguably been the Mancunian side’s finest talent during the US outing.
Now, the source claims that he has discussed his future with Mourinho, and enquired whether he can stay on in Manchester. The Portuguese gaffer reportedly responded by stating that his future would be determined by his performances during the pre-season.
In that regard, he ought not to worry, as he has been incredible so far. Unfortunately, a look at Mourinho’s current track-record with the likes of Shaw and Martial is a cause of some worry.
Here too, a duality exists, as the game-time that the likes of Lingard and Rashford enjoyed last season was also quite incredible. As of such, Pereira, having been sent off on prior loan-spells to Granada and Valencia, will be eager to know about his future as August 9 looms closer.
