Leicester City are planning a move for former Manchester United starlet Adnan Januzaj.
Manchester United are known to produce some of the best talents in Europe. They have one of the biggest scouting networks and make a point to bring in a couple of foreign young talents every year.
Some of them are able to break into the first team and make a name for themselves, and one such case was Adnan Januzaj. Born in Brussels, he joined the Red Devils’ academy in 2011.
It took him only two seasons to be called up to the first team. In 2013, Januzaj had his breakthrough season, where he helped United pick a couple of victories in a disastrous season under David Moyes.

But it didn’t last long, as his form dipped drastically the following season. Januzaj then joined Borussia Dortmund and Sunderland on loan spells, but wasn’t able to replicate his previous performances. Eventually, he was sold to Real Sociedad last summer by Jose Mourinho.
The 23-year-old had a good season in La Liga, scoring 4 goals in 35 appearances. He earned a spot in the Belgian World Cup squad, and also scored the goal to defeat England in the group stage.
The Foxes will also be without star striker Jamie Vardy for their Premier League opener against Manchester United. Gaffer Claude Puel is looking to add a couple of players before the transfer window slams shut on August 9.
Januzaj would be a great addition to their squad, as the Belgian wouldn’t require much time to settle into the English footballing mould. He seems to have improved on his abilities, and could help Leicester City finish high in the league table this season.
