Ivan Perisic Open To Summer Transfer; Reveals Desire To Play In England
Manchester United target Ivan Perisic has expressed his desire to move to England.
Jose Mourinho has been frustrated by the lack of signings Ed Woodward has managed to complete this summer. The United gaffer had submitted a list of players he wanted before he left for the World Cup, as he was called to work as a pundit for Russia Today.
But United officials failed to deliver, and the squad seems really weak at the moment. The Portuguese boss is in desperate need of a central defender who can form a strong partnership with Eric Bailly, so as to give David De Gea a sense of protection ahead of him this season.
Toby Alderweireld was his top target to fill the position, and it seems like Mourinho might finally get him, after Manchester United and Tottenham reportedly agreed on a fee for the Belgian international this week.
Another area of concern was right wing. Anthony Martial has failed to impress in the past two seasons, being unable to deliver on a consistent basis. The 22-year-old seems to be eyeing a move elsewhere, as he is fed up with Mourinho’s constant criticism.

Ivan Perisic has been a Manchester United target since last summer. The Croatian winger was close to making the move to Old Trafford, but talks broke down, and he agreed to sign a new contract with Inter Milan.
His impressive performances at the World Cup seem to have caught the eyes of Jose Mourinho once again, who believes the wide-man could be a perfect replacement for Martial.
And now, in an interview with Sportske Novosti, Perisic has revealed that he wants to play in all the top leagues in Europe, and England is one of the countries on his list.

“Honestly, I’d like to try out all these leagues, but the question is how much time I will have for all this,” said the Croatian international.
“Now I’m 29, I work to make my career as long as possible, I work every day and try to be as fit as possible. I would like to go to England and Spain, but I repeat, the question is whether I will have time for that.”
When asked about his future amid Manchester United interest, the winger mentioned that he is happy at Inter at the moment, but wouldn’t want to rule out a transfer.
“What’s going to be in the future, only the dear God knows, I’m happy in Inter and we all know that in football everything is possible,” the winger hinted.
