It’s hard to keep hold of great talent in the modern game. At the same time, developing those youngsters who show much promise is also a challenging task, particularly in view of a lineup that is already riddled with established players.

This is the dilemma that most European giants face, and Manchester United are no exception.

Their woes, in fact, are added by the fact that their youth academy has been consistent in churning out one brilliant youngster after another.

To deal with this, the Mancunian club has oft adopted the no-brainer approach, and one of their promising talents has been subjected to the same yet again, as Axel Tuanzebe has joined Aston Villa on a temporary loan.

An official statement on the club website read: “Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe has rejoined Aston Villa in another loan deal. With the club’s pre-season commitments fulfilled, Tuanzebe has been allowed to leave on a temporary basis again in order to obtain regular first-team football.”

The 20-year-old was part of Villa during the latter half of last season, but injury woes cut that loan short.

Now, the Championship side will be eager to welcome the defender yet again in their bid to regain Premier League football, an accolade they came painfully close to achieving last campaign.

Tuanzebe had this to say about the move: “It’s great to be back. This is a big, big club and to represent it again is a big honour for me. It made perfect sense for me to return for the season ahead. I know my way around the place now and owe a lot to the great people who’ve really looked after me.

“It was a no-brainer and now the ambition remains the same as last season – to reach the Premier League. I believe the squad we have here is more than capable of achieving it and playing at that level.”
