Intent goes a long way in a transfer window, particularly in its final days, where even the most absurd and unlikely of deals begin to have a semblance of being possible.
Blockbuster deals, by their very nature, are long-drawn processes, and while the few days left in the English transfer window may still have something in store, one can’t say so for certain.
Now, Barcelona have set their eyes on a player they view as apt for their lineup, but the bigger question is whether they can translate this desire into something more.

The report has cited the same reason as several before it, that Pogba and Mourinho don’t share the best of rapport, and as of such, the prolific Frenchman could be led away from Old Trafford with a bumper move. However, the Catalan giants face a massive roadblock in their pursuit, in the form of Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola.
The super-agent had a bit of a fallout with the Spanish giants back in 2010, when Zlatan Ibrahimovic left their roster.
Since then, the club and the agent have rarely been involved, and if the Pogba pursuit has any substance to it, Barca must be eager to mold a relationship with Raiola.
If they do succeed in doing that, things could turn out to be quite smooth, with the agent having reportedly sounded numerous European giants regarding the availability of the 25-year-old when things seemed tense between him and United last season.
Now, his World Cup triumph with France seems to have put things in perspective for the sides. It is interesting to add that unless Mourinho is able to secure an apt replacement for him in the few days that remain, a deal in this window seems unlikely.
