Manchester United rode through two first-half goals from Romelu Lukaku, as the Mancunian club avoided a third straight defeat in the Premier League.

United have six points from four matches. Alexis Sanchez set up the first goal for the Belgian, before the latter added another from a failed Burnley clearance.

Here’s how the United players fared in this crunch tie against the Clarets –

David de Gea: 7

Was a spectator in the first half, before making two classy saves in the closing stages.

Antonio Valencia: 6

The skipper looked to be promising going forward and kept his shape defensively.

Chris Smalling: 7

Looked steady and composed on the ball and it was a much better show than the one against Spurs.

Was solid and added the extra bit of cushion for the defenders. His positioning and being a threat against crosses helped the side.

Nemanja Matic: 6

Used the ball well at times but also lost possession. Grew stronger as the game progressed.
