The satisfaction of players at clubs is keen on ensuring that a fond rapport exists throughout tenures. But this is not always the case, and the clashing of horns between talents and managers are well documented.

However, this is an interesting dynamic, as both players and managers are held at the mercy of their respective performances, and at a club like Manchester United, nothing but the best is expected.

In view of the fresh uncertainty that surrounds the future of Jose Mourinho, one Red Devils’ starlet has decided to let the gaffer’s plans affect his own deal.

According to a report by The Sun, Anthony Martial has put to a halt his ongoing contract talks with the club, and has instead decided to wait on the future of Mourinho instead.

Manchester United’s Belgian Star Ruled Out With A Back Injury

The 22-year-old has been a conflicting presence at Old Trafford, with his brilliant potential keeping the club from selling him, while Mourinho’s insistence at world-class talent keeping him from fielding the Frenchman.

As of such, much unhappiness has been brewing, and even though contract talks had begun between the club and the player’s representatives earlier this year itself, Martial has now decided to keep it on a hold.

Man United Fans Are Not Happy With Pogba’s Latest Comments

It is quite understandable as to why the forward wishes to not commit his future while his potential role is still unclear.

If Mourinho were to leave, the next gaffer at Old Trafford may be more sympathetic to the cause of the former Monaco starlet. At the same time, if Mourinho has a change of heart regarding the player’s future, that too can prove to be a strong factor in his favor.

All in all, this doesn’t bode well for the club, as Martial’s compatriot Paul Pogba has also expressed a desire to leave in the near future, and the latest reports have suggested that the club has put the talks to renew his contract on hold as well.
