While EA may be facing the wrath of their supporter base for follies in other departments, in the case of FIFA 19, they may garner some reconciliation after all.

Much hype has been raised over the release of the latest edition of the game, with promotion content going haywire and reaching new creative heights.

Regardless, the biggest headlines are reserved for the overall player rating for the talents that dot the virtual format of the great game, and aficionados are eager to find out precisely what number will accompany their favored talents.

Now, EA has gone ever closer to the final 30, with ratings from 40-31 being unveiled.

Lorenzo Insigne, Samir Handanović, and Gonzalo Higuain just make the cut, with overall ratings of 88 proving enough to establish their spot. The second batch, starting from the 35th position sees Buffon stick to his goalkeeping greats despite being 40 years old.

But perhaps the biggest upset in the form of inclusion will come to Gareth Bale, Paul Pogba, and Christian Eriksen, who all barely miss out on the top 30. All players included in this list boast of an overall rating of 88.

While the previous batches saw the dominance of one club or another, this relatively smaller collection has only two Real Madrid players, with Bale being joined by Casemiro.

Interestingly, Los Blancos loanee James Rodriguez makes the cut right alongside them, albeit in a Bayern Munich jersey. The sole Barcelona player who made it ended up being Sergio Busquets.

This certainly heats things up for the final batches to be unveiled, as the top players on the field will be hoping that their virtual selves are aptly awarded ratings.

EA is aware of the discontent that generally surrounds their ratings, parodying it in a viral promotional video earlier. Who will make the final cut?
