Shocks are never far away when it comes to Manchester United‘s transfer activity.

However, in the summer of 2018, several names such as Jerome Boateng, Harry Maguire, Toby Alderweireld, Yerry Mina, and Diego Godin were linked with the Mancunians, but incredibly, not a single one of these names actually made it through the door.

While the lack of incoming players was a huge problem, the sudden rise in players wanting to leave made life even more difficult for the 20-time Premier League champions.

Reports suggested that Paul Pogba may well be on his way to Barcelona, and when that story died down, a much stronger rumour suggested that the Frenchman could be headed back to Turin to reunite with his old club Juventus.

The Mirror now claim that the Old Lady giants are so desperate in their attempts to sign Pogba, that they may be willing to offer one of their top stars to make the deal happen.

Paulo Dybala could be the player sacrificed in order to facilitate the Pogba deal as early as January, in a move that could be worth up to £150 million.

Dybala’s career in Turin has taken a hit after it was revealed that the Italian giants were signing Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

As expected, Dybala has been sparingly used since the start of the season, and it doesn’t appear as if the little master is going to get too much playing time while Ronaldo is around.

This has opened the door for an exit, and we could see him jump ship to Manchester, as Paul Pogba continues to struggle with life under Jose Mourinho.
