What Fans Are Saying About Lukaku’s Performance Against Valencia

It was another frustrating night for Manchester United, as they were held to a 0-0 draw at Old Trafford by Valencia in the Champions League.

United are winless in 4 games at Old Trafford across all competitions, and their awful start to the season continued in dire fashion. At the heart of this poor show was Romelu Lukaku, who was a let-down by miles alongside star player Alexis Sanchez.

The duo was disappointing for most parts of the game -especially Lukaku, who also missed an open header from a corner after being set free. What also didn’t go well with the fans was was his attempt in doing step-overs.

In the first-half, the moment came when Lukaku was trying the same and the ball got stuck under his feet after being challenged by Valencia’s Michy Batshuayi. One United fan even pointed out on Twitter that Lukaku’s antics looked like watching a rugby player who’s never played football before.

The £75 million striker is finding it difficult this season, and is often left alone in attack with little or no support. Only Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw had a terrific night and gave their best. The same cannot be said about the rest.

United, who are a dismal 10th in the Premier League, now have 4 points from two matches in the UCL. They will be up against Juventus next in a double-header.

Many feel that if they do not change their fortunes, then one might see the Italian side walk away with all six points and leave United staring at an exit.
