Manchester United confirmed on their website that U18s striker Mason Greenwood has signed his first professional contract with the club. The English international turned 17 earlier this week, and was their top scorer in the 2017/18 season with 17 goals to his name.

This term has already seen him net 9 times for the side, a haul that seems destined to go well over the double figures. He also made a promising tour with the senior team to the United States this summer, where he caught Mourinho’s eye as well.
Apart from being a prolific assister, aiding his overall skill-set, the teenager is even an adept two-footed player, possessing the sort of demeanor that others of his age often lack.

Of course, for that to occur, the Portuguese gaffer must still hold the United position in the future, with recent results painting an unflattering picture.
