Angel Di Maria Set For Shock Premier League Return
It didn’t go well for Angel Di Maria when he moved from Real Madrid to Manchester United back in 2014. The player left Old Trafford in the subsequent season itself, to join Paris Saint-Germain.
Issues on and off the field hampered his Premier League stint, but now, Di Maria is believed to be eyeing a return to English football.
It has been reported that the Argentine is ready to quit French leaders PSG in the summer of 2019, with his contract coming to an end.
Di Maria wants a raise in his salary to about £200,000-a-week, and that could force him to try his hands out in the Premier League, which hasn’t been a happy experience for him.

Di Maria decided to stay back in France, despite several top clubs in Europe like Juventus and Barcelona being keen for his services in the last 1-2 years or so.
But now, he has been advised to try his luck in England if an extension doesn’t happen at PSG, which is likely, as the player’s wage demands could set the Parisians off.
Di Maria quit Old Trafford in 2015 – and penned a four-year contract at PSG. He had moved to United for a then club-record fee of £59.7m. It remains to be seen where the Argentine’s journey takes him next.
It is unlikely that he will return to United despite having worked with Jose Mourinho earlier at Real. United have options, and the position of Jose isn’t safe too at the moment, with the club getting off to a terrible start.
