Manchester United Star Eyes January Exit After Split With Girlfriend
Alexis Sanchez moved to Manchester United from Arsenal in January, and a lot was expected from the Chilean after his swap deal with Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
But nine months since his arrival at Old Trafford, things haven’t gone quite according to plan for the versatile forward. His form has been woeful, and Jose Mourinho has left him out in half of the matches played this season.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, Sanchez has grown disillusioned with life at the club, and is seeking a move away from Manchester.
His agent is believed to be looking for options as January approaches. A big reason for his lack of form is also said to be due to his break-up with his girlfriend.

As per the report, sources claim that Sanchez’s split with now ex-girlfriend Mayte Rodriguez has had a serious impact on his performances.
But even if Manchester United sanction a move, it remains to be seen whether any club would be willing to match the Chile international’s astronomical wages.

Sanchez has been a pale shadow of his former self, and his last-gasp winner against Newcastle a fortnight ago was the first he managed to score since April. This highlights the plight of the player and his situation.
Perhaps a good run of games in this key period could help him regain some form and help him mentally. The question is, can the Chilean get some inspiration?
