Television pundits and former footballers Graeme Souness and Jamie Redknapp were seen getting involved in a heated debate over Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

The incident took place while they were discussing the player in the build-up to the Premier League clash involving Chelsea vs Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The match eventually ended 2-2, with the Blues scoring a last-gasp equaliser in the final minute of injury time.

The Red Devils’ midfielder was talked about in an interview segment on Sky Sports. While Souness claimed that he hasn’t been impressed with the 2018 World Cup winner, Redknapp had other views.

Souness said that Pogba has been a failure since he joined the Old Trafford club back in 2016, while also adding that the huge fee Manchester United paid for Pogba hasn’t come to fruition.

Redknapp then argued that the rest of the United squad needed to be equally blamed for the dismal form they have suffered this season. He also praised Pogba for his stupendous show in the World Cup this year.

The discussion then gained a lot of impetus and heat, with both personalities trying to stake their claim.

Pogba, meanwhile, did the talking on the pitch in the second half of the match against Chelsea. While he was solely responsible for the Blues’ opening goal, he did make up for it by adding more dynamism and playing a huge role in the two goals scored by the visitors.
