What Mourinho Said About Ronaldo Before UCL Clash Against Juventus
Even as their careers approach the inevitable twilight ends, the debate as to who between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi is the best continues to grow ever stronger.
It often appears that neither can be assessed for their individual brilliance without it being with respect to the performances of the other.
Despite that, Ronaldo, aged 33 and already adjusting to life at Juventus, is certainly far more likely to hit the low point in his career than the 31-year-old Messi.
As of such, the Portuguese superstar has been the subject of much criticism, ranging from not scoring enough goals to showing only a glimmer of the superstar that amazed all at Real Madrid a few seasons ago.

In the sea of doubt, one unlikely source has emerged as highly supportive of Ronaldo. Jose Mourinho and CR7 haven’t always shared the fondest of rapport. Their shared tenure at Real wasn’t the high point of either of their careers, and flames often lashed strong from both ends.
Despite that, Mourinho now has come out in support of Ronaldo, by stating: “He is on a level where he does not need these questions and answers. He is one of the best players of all time.”

The master tactician went on to emphasize his point, stamping his stance on Ronaldo as a player: “Nobody can tell different than that. He is one of the best of all time. It is as simple as that.”
It is brilliant to see one of the greatest managers of all time speak well about the most iconic talent of the era. It goes on to further emphasize Mourinho’s entire attitudes towards players.
Take another instance: What started off as bitter rapport between him and Luke Shaw has now culminated into a sweet end that Mourinho himself baptizes as the ‘Luke Shaw’ process. A similar sentiment is being hoped for Anthony Martial as well.
